Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about caring for and styling your new ceramic butter dish.

Will ceramic break easily if dropped on a hard kitchen floor?

It is made of standard kitchen-grade ceramic, which requires normal careful handling like any ceramic dishware. Handle ceramic material with care to prevent chipping or breaking.

Will standard-sized butter sticks fit inside?

The internal dimensions measure nearly 7.5 inches long, easily accommodating typical block sizes with room to spare.

Is the bow fragile?

The bow is integrated into the ceramic mold construction, but should be handled with standard care during washing.

Can I put it in the dishwasher?

You can safely wash it by hand or place it in standard dishwashers thanks to the durable ceramic body.

Does the glossy finish stain over time?

The smooth glazed surface resists staining and washes clean easily with ordinary dish soap.

Does it keep butter fresh on the counter?

The two-piece lid and base design completely encloses the butter to maintain freshness without needing a fridge.

Good sturdy ceramic dish. Just make sure to wash it gently around the handle, but otherwise it works great for keeping butter covered.
